Salon Suites For Beauty Care Pros Coming To Aldrich Plaza, Howell

HOWELL, NJ – MY SALON Suite is coming to Aldrich Plaza in Howell, leasing a 7,900-square foot space at the Route 9 business destination.

The lease adds to the franchise’s “brick-and-mortar footprint,” the company says. And it’s a new kind of tenant for Aldrich Plaza.

The franchise says beauty professionals interested in the concept can look for a fall opening of MY SALON Suites Howell.

With more than 250 locations across the United States and Canada, MY SALON Suite gives hair stylists and other beauty professionals a personal space to build their business.

Every MY SALON Suite location includes “turn-key” suites that are “well appointed with high-end luxury amenities and top-of-the-line salon equipment for different specialties of health and beauty professionals,” the franchise said in a news release about the plans for the Howell site.

“At MY SALON Suite of Howell, we strive to create a professional and upscale environment that best suits you and your clients’ needs,” the franchise says on its website.

“Each suite offers a quiet, safe and private workspace allowing you to converse with your clients without disruption from your Suite neighbors.”

The concept means stylists can “move in worry-free, starting your business in a ‘best in class’” environment.

Some other features of this type of franchise include:

  • Personalization potential.
  • Supportive environment.
  • Community of creatives.
  • No commission splits.
  • 24/7 security.
  • Double-door secure entry.
  • Total privacy.
  • Eco-conscious policies.
  • Cross-promotion opportunities.

MY SALON Suite Howell at Aldrich Plaza is the second area suite for the same business owner who also operates one in Old Bridge. The name of the owner was not provided.

And the shopping center said the franchise concept is a successful one:

“Personal care and services concepts have been a bright spot in the leasing landscape. . . . The salon suites franchise market is growing, which speaks to the success of MY SALON Suite’s forward-thinking concept,” said Kendal Hand-Freda, the leasing representative for Levin Management Corporation, the exclusive leasing and management agent of Aldrich Plaza.

“Aldrich Plaza’s strong tenant mix – particularly the presence of professional beauty supply store SalonCentric – was a key factor in attracting this business operator,” Hand-Freda said.

Anchored by Walgreens, Aldrich Plaza draws almost 1 million visits per year, according to real time traffic data from Placer.ai.

The center’s national and regional tenants include Retro Fitness, GNC, AT&T, Bubbakoo’s Burritos, Norman’s Hallmark, RE/MAX real estate, Big City Bagels & Salads and Boston Market.

Neighborhood conveniences such as a dentist, pizzeria, Chinese restaurant, optician, liquor store, karate studio, coffee and ice cream shops and a dry cleaner, among others, are included in the tenant mix.

If you live in Howell, here’s an interesting statistic about Aldrich Plaza: Nearly 161,000 people reside within five miles of the shopping center, and the daily traffic count passing the property exceeds 47,000 vehicles.

Levin Management Corporation, North Plainfield, notes a 2,500-square-foot inline space and a 31,000-square-foot anchor space remain available at Aldrich Plaza. Its portfolio includes 125 properties, totaling almost 16 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, LMC says.
