The best street style from the Paris men’s fall/winter 2023 shows

It’s the final stop and pinnacle of men’s fashion week: Paris. To kick off the Paris fall/winter 2023 menswear shows, Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent showed dark trench coats and silky white blouses, romanticizing menswear with a contemporary spin. Givenchy by Matthew Williams carried on his fearless pursuit of seamlessly merging streetwear and luxury, with oversized distressed hoodies layered under tailored blazers. With many heavy hitters including Rick Owens, Junya Watanabe and Dior homme yet to show, the fun has only just begun.

On the streets, we’re seeing an abundance of layering, with statement oversized coats and puffer jackets for this chilly time of year. Daring colours and prints seem to be a recurring theme, from striking cobalt blues and reds to leopard prints and rainbow stripes. Similar to Milan, which happened earlier in the week, the hottest style trends such as leather ensembles and casual tailoring are more present than ever. A good balance of style and comfort seems to be key, with footwear and accessories seemingly toned-down and functional. However, expect to see more daring wardrobe choices and bold looks in the later half of this week as the shows comes to a close.
